… But I’m a Cheerleader”
📍Turbine Theatre
🎫£32

My first time watching a classic LGBTQA+ play/musical. This story, based on a cult movie from 1999, is such a feel good piece. It tells a part satirical, part comedy story of a girl sent to “conversion program” called True Directions, because her family and friends claim she could be gay.
Original movie featured Natasha Lyonne And RuPaul, and 2022 London live musical features some fantastic young actors, I have to especially highlight Aaron Teoh – what a voice! In his solo I could almost feel the floor shaking. Also huge props to the ensemble: their energy was through the roof! From what I see, the tickets are sold out till the end of the season but if you find a way to catch a ticket, definitely go for it!
